acceptable use.

1. Who can use the app

You need to be at least 16 to have an account. One account per person, and the details on it should be yours and true. Do not let someone else use your account, and do not use someone else’s.

2. Things you must not put in a Space

• Anything unlawful, or anything that encourages an unlawful act.
• Photos or videos of a person who has not agreed to be in your Space , particularly intimate images. Everyone in a Space can see and download the original of anything you add.
• Any sexual content involving children, or anything that exploits or endangers a child. We report this to the authorities.
• Content that harasses, threatens, defames or incites hatred or violence against someone.
• Someone else’s work that you have no right to share, or content that infringes a trade mark or other right.
• Malware, or anything designed to break, overload or probe the app or the people in it.
• Other people’s personal data collected for reasons unrelated to the group. The app is not a mailing list.

3. Things you must not do to the service

• Reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app, except where the law says you may.
• Use the app through anything other than our official clients, scrape it, or automate it at a scale a person could not reach.
• Try to reach data that is not yours: other people’s balances, Spaces you were not invited to, our servers.
• Work around limits, licences or security measures, including the checks that keep media private.
• Resell the app, or use it to run a business service for other people, without our written agreement.

4. Photos, location and other people

Photos carry the location they were taken at, and spaced. deliberately keeps it so the group can see where a memory happened. That means anyone in the Space learns where a photo was taken. Only add photos you are happy for the whole group to have in that detail, and be careful with photos of other people’s homes, children or workplaces.

5. Bills are a record, not a payment service

spaced. never moves money. Bills, splits and “mark as paid” are a shared notebook: you settle up between yourselves. Do not use the app to run anything that needs to be a regulated payment, credit or escrow service, and do not present a spaced. balance as proof of payment.

6. AI suggestions

The itinerary planner drafts suggestions with AI and pins them to real places where it can. Suggestions can be wrong, out of date, or closed. Check opening times, prices, bookings and travel advice yourself before relying on any of it, especially anything with a safety element.

7. Reporting something

If someone in a Space is behaving badly, or something in the app is not what it should be, email hello@get-spaced.com. Tell us what you saw and where. We read everything, and we act on what we can see: we can suspend accounts and remove content, but we cannot police a private group in real time.

8. What happens if you break this policy

Depending on what happened we may remove content, suspend or delete an account, and where the law requires it, report the matter. Where it is fair to do so we will tell you why, and you can reply to hello@get-spaced.com.
